M. Steel Cycles was established in 1894, and we have called South Gosforth our home from the very beginning. Although our name has been around for over a hundred years, we strive to remain contemporary. In 2008 we took another step towards this by occupying new premises.
The move was small in terms of distance but vast in terms of improvement. We only moved around the corner from our old shop, and can now be found in Bowsden Terrace in South Gosforth, but our service is better than ever.
We are now spread across two floors, and have three times as much space as we did in the older shop. This benefits our customers greatly, as it means we can stock an even bigger range of cycles and accessories; we took on many new lines after we moved in. It has also given us the space to have a Specialized Body Fit Centre, which we use to find people the perfect size bike.

Services
Although the old building was charming, the new building has become a wonderful place to work. It’s open, bright and modern, which gives it a very up-to-date feel. Our development of a modern new shop truly reflects what we’re about as a company; we like to keep up-to-date about the most current brands and services in our industry.
The future of M.Steels also displays a little bit of our past. We’ve hung up some of Joes keepsakes from his days as a racer; the walls have magazine covers, medals, signed tops and pictures on the wall. It helps to remind us of where we’ve come from and where we’re going to.
